Skye Dolan creates original paintings, prints, and commissions that merge expressive realism with geometry, symbolism, and vivid color. Working across acrylic, wood burning, pencil, color pencil, and embellished surfaces, the work moves between the intimate and the mythic.

Many pieces begin with a recognizable subject such as an animal, a portrait, a moon, an insect, or a figure pulled from mythology. From there, they are layered with repeated lines, radiating structure, burned textures, rhinestones, and shifts in light that make the finished work feel both grounded and otherworldly.

Contrast is a recurring thread throughout the portfolio. Organic forms sit against deliberate pattern. Soft expression meets sharp structure. Natural surfaces are pushed toward something luminous and ceremonial, and some pieces incorporate blacklight-reactive accents or reflective embellishments that change with the environment.

Commission work is a meaningful extension of that practice. Custom pet portraits and personal pieces are approached as more than likenesses. They are built to hold personality, memory, energy, and symbolism while still feeling unmistakably personal to the collector.
